Terms of Use for MeduTechs VR Anatomy

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MeduTechs VR Anatomy ("the App"), provided by MeduTechs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using our Virtual Reality application and AI services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER (CRITICAL)

THE APP IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
  • Not a Medical Device: MeduTechs VR Anatomy is a reference tool for students and professionals. It is not a diagnostic tool and is not intended to replace professional medical judgment.
  • No Medical Advice: The information provided by the App, including text, 3D models, and AI-generated responses, does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Do Not Rely for Patient Care: Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or heard in this App. Do not use this App to diagnose or treat real human patients.
  • Accuracy: While we strive for academic accuracy based on professor-validated data, medical knowledge evolves constantly. We do not warrant that the information is complete, accurate, or up-to-date.

3. AI Features and Disclaimers

The App utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide the "AI Tutor" and "AI Interviewer" features. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

  • AI Limitations: AI models can occasionally produce incorrect, misleading, or "hallucinated" information, even when trained on medical data. Always verify critical information with standard medical textbooks or qualified instructors.
  • Voice Interactions: Your voice queries are processed by third-party providers (e.g., OpenAI, Azure) as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Prohibited Prompts: You agree not to attempt to "jailbreak," manipulate, or use the AI for non-educational purposes, including generating hate speech, sexual content, or illegal advice.

4. VR Safety and Health

Warning: You are responsible for clearing your physical environment of obstacles (furniture, pets, people) before using the App.
  • Surroundings: We are not liable for injury or property damage resulting from your movement while in VR.
  • Physical Discomfort: If you experience nausea, eye strain, dizziness, or seizures, stop using the App immediately and consult a physician.
  • Age Restriction: In accordance with Meta safety guidelines and our IARC rating, this App is not intended for children under 13.

5. License and Intellectual Property

  • License Grant: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial, educational use.
  • Restrictions: You may not:
    1. Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code or 3D assets.
    2. Copy, distribute, or sell any part of the App or its content.
    3. Use the App to train other AI models.
  • Ownership: All 3D anatomy models, textures, code, and curriculum content are the exclusive property of MeduTechs and are protected by international copyright laws.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use the App lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse the AI Tutor (e.g., using profanity or hate speech).
  • Share your account credentials with others.

7. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof, including AI features) at any time with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEDUTECHS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • ERRORS IN MEDICAL INFORMATION.
  • ACADEMIC FAILURE OR EXAM RESULTS.
  • PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM VR USAGE.
  • LOSS OF DATA OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID, IF ANY, TO PURCHASE THE APP.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada (and the province of Ontario, where applicable), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Canada, though we acknowledge the rights of EU consumers under local mandatory laws (GDPR).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
